I have been photographing Melbourne for years and I still don't think I've found the bottom of it. It is a city of laneways and corners, of light that arrives at unexpected angles and disappears before you can react. I shoot it almost exclusively in black and white — not as a stylistic choice exactly, but because that is how I see it. The contrast is already there. The camera just confirms it. This is a living project. It will keep growing as long as the city keeps surprising me, which it shows no signs of stopping.
