STREETS OF MELBOURNE
Melbourne is where I learned to look. It is an evolving project — one that I return to whenever I have the opportunity — because the city keeps changing and so does the way I see it. I generally photograph Melbourne in black and white because that's how it feels to me — the light comes in hard and directional, the shadows are deep, and the contrast between the old laneways and the new towers is a story that colour would flatten. This is my city. I'm still working out how to photograph it.
