STREETS OF PHUKET
Phuket rewards the photographer who is willing to get up early and walk away from the waterfront. Behind the resorts and the souvenir stalls is a city with its own rhythms — wet markets at dawn, monks on their morning rounds, mechanics and vendors and schoolchildren navigating streets that tourists rarely find. These photographs were made in the hours and corners where the island stops performing and simply gets on with things. That is the Phuket worth photographing.
